MESSENGER DEADLINE is this Sunday.

Attention High School & Jr. High Youth! We need HELPERS! On Saturday April 3rd , we need 6-8 youth to help set up and prepare food for the Annual Easter Sunday Breakfast. We will meet at the church and work from 4-6pm on Saturday and then go out for free pizza and soft drinks. We also need 6-8 youth Easter morning to help prepare, serve and bus tables from 7-9am. Volunteers can sign up NOW on the youth bulletin board. All Easter Breakfast proceeds go to support Messiah youth programs. Parents are welcome to help.

Women’s hygiene supplies are needed for homeless women. If possible, please put a donation into our lounge basket. Thank you!

All Prayer Tree Ministry members, along with anyone else who is interested in the Prayer Tree, are invited to the annual Prayer Tree Ministry luncheon: Today, immediately following the late service.
REAL REFORMATION RADIO: Learn more about biblical teachings like Sin & Grace, Christians & Culture, The Presence of God, God’s Will for Your Life and more. Issues, Etc. is a radio talk show produced by Lutheran Public Radio and hosted by LCMS Pastor Todd Wilken. You can listen to what you want when you want at www.issuesetc.org.

Today in Sunday School. In today’s Sunday School lesson the children learned how in faith, a sinful woman lovingly anointed Jesus’ feet. They also learned how in faith we grasp God’s free mercy, receive the forgiveness of sins, and respond with acts of love and praise. As a family, consider ways that you might respond to God’s mercy. Ask your children what sins God will forgive (all of them!), and in your catechism review, look at the section about the Confession of Sins.

Calling all Church Members! Save the date of Saturday, April 24, 2010, for Concordia Lutheran School’s Annual Auction. The Auction’s theme this year is “Release”. Please plan to join us for this community event. Take a look at the display located in the Fellowship Hall with more information coming soon. One of the auction items this year is “Wine Cellar to Go”. Could you donate one of your favorite bottles of wine? If you have items to donate, please contact Lisa Meyer at 206.525.7407 or seameyer@comcast.net.

Don’t forget...Next Sunday is MITE box Sunday.

Pastor’s AIC class will meet this Thursday, March 25th , 7pm with a study on “Justification” (the heart of Christianity).

It’s never TOO early to think of Vacation Bible School. The date has been set, the materials have been picked, now it’s your turn to volunteer to help out with this WONDERFUL experience! Save the date, June 28-July 2. We will be needing key people for Volunteer Coordinator, Registration, Snacks, Bible Stories, Opening/Closing and Crafts. If you would be interested in being one of these “Key” people, please contact Kathee McAlpine in the church office at 206.524.0024.

Ladies Night Out - Beautiful food, beautiful surroundings, beautiful companions. We would love to have dinner with you tomorrow night at Bai Pai Thai restaurant at 6:00pm. Bai Pai Thai is located at 2316 NE 65th St., Seattle. RSVP to Bev Edmon.

Did you know that Messiah has formed a Technology Committee? It's our goal to keep Messiah on the cutting edge of the Information Age. One of our first projects is to create and update member email lists, so please fill out a MESSIAH CONNECT CARD. You can pick up a card located either upstairs across from the coffee bar or downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Thanks for your help! If you want to help or join the committee contact the Vicar.

Look out your window and you can see spring is here, and that means it is time for the children’s Easter Service. This year, “The Eggs of Easter” is the title of the service. Everyone is invited to the children’s Easter Service on Easter morning at 9:20 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Parents: There will be a practice on Saturday morning, April 3rd beginning at 10:00 am and finishing by 11:30 am. Please have your children in their classroom on Easter Sunday morning by 9:00 am.

Keith Brosz, former Concordia Lutheran School Principle and friend to many, is retiring after 39 years in educational ministry. His celebration (and roast) will be held on March 27th at Anchor Lutheran School in Anchorage, Alaska. An invitation and more details can be read on the upstairs bulletin board.

Come read their most recent news in a letter from our fifth Vicar, Jonathan Huehn, Kara and a picture of their new daughter, Abigail, located upstairs on the bulletin board.
