We will join together around food and fun as we wish Vicar Fremer & Mary farewell and show our appreciation for a job well done at Messiah Lutheran Church. Coming August 22-26, 2011! This year’s Continuing Education Class “No More ‘Peek-a-Boo’ Jesus: Christology of the Old Testament.” Cost for the class will be $150.00. Students in Sunday School studied “Journey with the Wise Men” from Matthew 2:1-23. Discuss how God reveals our Savior to us. Parents might ask, “What did the Wise Men seek? How does God use this event as part of His plan of salvation?”
CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR THE CONFESSIONAL LUTHERAN...Issues, Etc. is a radio talk show hosted by LCMS Pastor Todd Wilken and produced by Lutheran Public Radio. You can listen to in-depth teachings on subjects like: Catechesis in the Christian Home, The Benefits & Duties of Church Membership, The Parable of the Sower, Jesus Heals an Official's Son, Ruth and more. Rev. Richard Flath will be installed as the Pastor of Saint Timothy Lutheran Church in Edmonds on July 17 at three o'clock in the afternoon (3:00pm). As Circuit Counselor, Pastor Lassman do the Installation Service. Rev Kyle Heck of Immanuel, Everett will deliver the sermon.
In July, we will be collecting deodorants and liquid body soaps for both Immanuel Community Services and Compass Cascade Women's Shelter. These items are much needed items and are always appreciated. Thanks to all our generous givers for helping out both of these groups.
